Condition

The canvas has been lined. There are three small bulges one to the child's head, to the sitter's left elbow and the third to her left thigh. The paint surface is fairly clean. There is a small chip of paint loss to the impast in lower left corner. UV light reveals minor retouching along the top inner frame edge. There are some further spots of retouching to the sitter's face and to the aforementioned paint loss in the lower left corner. Some pigments flourece under UV. Held in a gold painted frame. Unexamined out of frame.
