Condition
Gorky:
The sheet has yellowed and there are small spots of staining in places. The pencil lines have smudged and the watercolour has faded. There is a vertical stain, possibly due to moisture, to the centre of the lower edge. Held in a painted wooden frame with losses to the paint and moulding and under glass. Unexamined out of frame.
Kuprin:
The sheet is discoloured with some spots of media staining and foxing, particularly to the lower half. The pencil has smudged and the watercolour has faded. Held in a painted wooden frame with losses to the paint and moulding and under glass. Unexamined out of frame.
