Condition

There are traces of another design on the reverse of the sheet, which is discoloured and slightly stained, with handling creases in places throughout. There are some media marks e.g. across the door and to the walls of the building. There are two small tears about half way down the right hand inner frame edge and a small loss in the lower right hand corner which is currently concealed by the mount. Two small nicks are visible along the left hand inner frame edge. Held in a modern gold painted plaster frame and under glass.

Rossini's opera The Barber of Seville was performed by the New London Opera Company at the Stoll Theatre in 1949. It was produced by Dino Borgioli with sets and costume designs by Natalia Goncharova.
