Condition
Original canvas. The surface is slightly dirty and covered in a layer of yellowed varnish. There is minor paint loss around the edges and some minor spots of paint loss in the upper right corner, where the underlying canvas is slightly visible. There is a small spot of paint loss near the lower centre of the composition. Nice impasto work in the tree at right. Under UV small amounts of pigment fluoresce in the lower portion of the composition (not near signature) but varnish prevents a conclusive analysis. Held in a black and gold painted wooden frame. Unexamined out of frame.
