  • struck with workmaster's initials, Fabergé in Cyrillic, and 56 standard
  • Palisander wood, gold, moonstone
  • Length 3 1/4 in.
  • 8.3 cm
in Neoclassical taste, the palisander applied with a sphinx surrounded by green gold laurel wreathes tied with red gold ribbons, with varicolored chased laurel bands, the lid and base with anthemion-flanked rosettes, and with moonstone thumbpiece
