after a design by Sergei Vasilievich Chekhonin (1878-1936), the cup additionally inscribed in Cyrillic "po ris. Chekhonina" and with Cyrillic initials "EkB" for factory painter Ekaterina Bolsheva, also with green Imperial cypher of Alexander III dated [18]90; the saucer similarly marked and with green Imperial cypher of Nicholas II dated 1903
