Description

designed as a flowerhead set in the center with a square emerald-cut emerald weighing 9.68 carats framed by round diamonds weighing approximately 13.45 carats, further set with 15 pear and 40 marquise-shaped diamonds weighing approximately 14.20 carats, signed VCA NY, numbered 36609; with signed box.

Condition

In good condition. The brooch is very bright and the stones are very lively. The diamonds are approximately E-F color, VVS-VS clarity. The emerald is a richly saturated, very slightly bluish-green, lightly included with minor cavities due to surface reaching inclusions. It is mounted in yellow gold. The signature is intact on the reverse but the number is slightly rubbed. Dimensions: 2 1/2 inches by 2 1/2 inches. Accompanied by AGL report no. CS 47620 stating that the emerald is of Colombian origin, clarity enhancement: faint, type: mixed-type.
