  • height of the vitrine 8 1/4 in.; length of the elephant 4 1/4 in.

in walking position, wearing gold caparison set with rubies, emeralds and other stones, the howdah similarly mounted; in gold-mounted vitrine.

Condition

elephant missing some gold toenails, two gems from one side and three from top of canopy, a couple repaired splits to gold at sides, otherwise good condition
