Condition
The canvas has been lined. The surface of the work is in fair condition, slightly abraded from cleaning particularly in the sky and plants. Pressed craquelure throughout. Under UV light: An old, thick masking varnish throughout. Old repaint visible mostly in the foreground along the bottom, which has turned white; a few spots of newer repaint, notably a spot between the dog's legs also visible with the naked eye, and a narrow strip extending from the top edge of the canvas at center.
