Condition
The canvas is lined. The surface of the work is in good condition apart from a horizontal stetcher mark at top, and an inconspicuous horizontal repair on the dog's left side, through the bottom of its ear. Surface discoloration in the breast of the pheasant. The sky with remnants of old varnish, a few scattered accretions upper left. Two small repairs in the bottom corners at left and right. Under UV light: some repaint in the sky, mainly at the top and along the edges. Thick areas of varnish and fluorescing in the ground. The animals mostly clean. Ready to hang.
