Condition
The canvas has been stiffly lined. The surface of the work is in good condition. Repainted frame abrasion along the upper edge. A thick varnish overall.
Benjamin West: 10 1/4 by 5 7/8 in.; 26 by 14.9 cm. The surface of the work is in good condition. A heavy varnish over most of the picture apart from a strip along the right edge, widest at the top. Fine pressed craquelure visible mostly along the bottom and extending upwards along the left edge, with smaller areas of craquelure upper right.
