Condition
The surface of the work is in good condition, apart from a loss above the dogs at left, a further small loss near the upper left corner. A few abrasions at top right and left. Under UV light: an uneven masking varnish over most of the background, in particular at left and completely obscuring the signature and date. Scattered inpainting visible along the upper right edge and a narrow strip at top left.
