Condition
The canvas is lined. The surface of the work is in good condition overall, apart from a few scattered paint losses, apparent craquelure with areas of lifting paint most visible in the sky and mountains at center and right and in the dog. The varnish has sunk into the craquelure throughout. Stretcher marks, frame abrasion at the extreme edges. Under UV: The dog has been cleaned, with old repaint visible in several areas of the dog, in most of the sky, and scattered in the trees and grass.
