Together with a set of six Chinese Export lacquer games trays, circa 1780; a Japanese white lacquer lobed box and cover decorated with red cranes; a Japanese gilt-decorated red and black lacquer small stand, 20th century; a Japanese red and gilt-lacquered quatrelobed box with removable tray on the interior, Edo period, and a Japanese red-lacquered wood frog-form box, 19th/20th century. 13 pieces.
Condition
All the lacquer boxes have the expected general wear and losses due to age. There is a large area of loss on the cover of the Japanese white lacquered box, and a small chip to the red-lacquered quatrelobed box.
