comprising the Distinguished Service Medal, Navy, 1930 (Awarded on December 17, 1930 for service as American High Commissioner to Haiti), Navy Cross (awarded November 1, 1920 for distinguished service), Sampson Medal with five clasps (awarded in 1898 on the USS Massachusetts), West Indies Campaign Medal; Marine Corps Expeditionary Medal, Spanish Campaign Medal (awarded in 1898, USS Massachusetts), Interallied Victory Medal with West Indies Clasp, World War II Victory Medal, West Indies Clasp 1917-18, Haiti, Haiti Medaille Militaire (awarded January 15, 1920 by President Dartiguenave), Haitian Campaign Medal.
Condition
Fair condition; ribbons to medals faded; the Distinguished service medal with large tear to top right corner (visible in catalogue illustration); the Navy Cross with minor tarnishing, oxidation and with very minor tear to top left corner of ribbon; the Sampson medal with tarnishing to bars and medal; the West Indies campaign medal with minor tarnishing; the medals on the bottom row all with minor tarnishing; the Spanish Campaign Medal with two vertical tears to the ribbon; the World War I Victory Medal with tears to ribbon.
