Condition
The surface of the work is in generally good condition, apart from pigment separation upper left and in the bottom half of the picture probably addressed with repaint and heavy varnish. Frame abrasion along the edges.
J.H. Dolph: Signed indistinctly *H and dated 77. 6 1/4 by 5 1/8 in.; 15.9 by 13 cm. The surface of the work is in good condition apart from a few very tiny inconspicuous losses in the face of the dog and on the tassle of his collar.
