the upright back with a curved crest rail above a plain splat inlaid with the initials GE the date 1704 and four hearts, the plain molded arms on turned supports, the plank seat on turned legs with turned and flat stretchers.  Reduced in height.

Fair rustic condition; the legs appear to have been reduced in height; one back leg with a spliced repair; areas of old worm damage throughout; the chair is solid and sturdy with usual old scratches, scuffs, bruises, nicks and wear consistent with age and use.
