A George III polychrome-painted inlaid satinwood pier table circa 1785

The D-shaped top extended with a breakfront at the back, with conforming tulipwood crossbanding and with a border painted with summer flowers, the conforming frieze similarly crossbanded and inlaid and painted with sprays of flowers, the square tapered legs headed by painted flowerheads and inlaid with crossbanded panels.  Reduced in height, painted decoration later.

Overall good condition; the painted decoration later; reduced in height; minor rippling to the top; overall with some minor nicks and chips to edges otherwise stable; nice figuring to the satinwood.
