AN ALCORA TIN-GLAZED EARTHENWARE SPANIEL-FORM BOX AND COVER LATE 18TH CENTURY

28/A mark in purple script. Together with a Dutch Delft figure of a manganese-spotted seated dog with a bird in its jaws.  2 pieces.

There is a small chip to the bottom edge of the dog's left cheek, which is not disfiguring. The cover has occasional minor abbrasions or chipping along the rim edge and a further 1-inch chip to the flange. Dutch Delft figure of a dog: The bird in his mouth is restored. Both his ears are restored. The enamels on the sides of the canted rectangular base is worn off. There are some very minor, very occasional abbrasions to the enamel particularly on his paws or around his body.
