A PAIR OF JACOB PETIT PORCELAIN CANDLESTICKS 19TH CENTURY

J.P. mark in underglaze-blue. Together with a Jacob Petit figural scent bottle modelled as a seated Turk, a Paris porcelain white and gilt hat pin holder and a Paris porcelain scent bottle and stopper painted with baskets of flowers. 5 pieces.

Some very minor occasional wear to the gilding. One has a 1-inch long restored area at the footrim. The other has restoration to three of its nozzles and a further small flat chip to two other nozzles. Four of the leaves on the support part of this candlestick have their tips restored and there is some further very minor chipping to the edges of three leaves. The footrim of this candlestick is also restored covering almost halfway around the footrim. Jacob Petit scent bottle: the mouth of the bottle is restored. Her neck is restored. Both of her hands are restored. The gilt trimmed edge of her skirt to her left is restored; both of her shoes are restored. There is an approximate 6 inch haircrack issuing from her right wrist and extending upwards to the back of her arm right above her elbow. The edge of her cloak on the right hand side is restored. Finally the footed base has restorations to the edge of the three loops. Paris porcelain hat pin holder: Some wear to the gilding and a miniscule chip to the edge of the mouse's left ear. Paris porcelain scent bottle and stopper: Some wear to gilding and occasional minor glaze flakes to the floral panels on the bottle. The bottle has an approximate 2-1/2 inch forking haircrack running horizontally across the base, not visible from the exterior. The stopper has an 1/4-inch flat chip to the rimedge.
