A STAFFORDSHIRE WHITE SALT-GLAZED STONEWARE 'SQUIRREL' TEAPOT AND COVER CIRCA 1745

There is an approximate 3-inch haircrack running down diagonally from the rim to the lower end of the handle.There is an approximate 1-inch restored area along the rim edge possibly covering one or more haircracks, of which one is partially visible running 1/2 inch down the side of the nut the squirrel is holding. There are restored chips to both ears. There are a number of fine haircracks running up from the edge of the cover to a point just above one eye of the squirrel; there is a small area of restoration covering a small filled loss at the point where the haircracks meet. There is a further area of restoration to the center of the head between the ears, probably covering some minor chips. The flange of the cover is oversprayed, probably covering some minor restored chips.
