each piece reserved with a gilt-edged panel finely painted with colorful flowers or fruit within a tooled gilt laurel border beneath the gilt-edged rim enriched with scrolling devices, comprising a rectangular two-handled tray, a teapot and cover, a sugar bowl and cover, a footed milk jug, and four teacups and saucers, interlaced L's, date letter X for 1775, the cups, the sugar bowls and the teapot with painter's marks L for Levé and the saucers and the tray with L for Levé and LG for Le Guay in blue enamel. 14 pieces.
Condition
Tray: There is a miniscule pinhead chip to the gilt rimedge.
Teapot and cover: There is a miniscule chip to the tip of the spout. There is some factory-related pitting to the body of the pot along both sides of the spout. The cover is in generally good condition.
Sugar bowl and cover: Sugar bowl is in generally good condition. The cover has a very small chip to the tip of one leaf at the fruit-shaped knop.
Milk jug: In generally good condition.
Teacups and saucers: One teacup has a restored area along the left side of the floral panel; the restoration is old and is flaking; there are some touch-ups to the gilding of the panel border as well as of the rim edge. The interior of the cup also has some overspray in the corresponding restored area, which has partially flaked away. Saucers are in generally good condition.
