A PAIR OF CHINESE CIZHOU-TYPE BALUSTER VASES, MOUNTED AS LAMPS QING DYNASTY, 19TH/20TH CENTURY

Together with two white-glazed vases, mounted as lamps, 18th/19th century and a carved celadon-glazed ovoid jar, mounted as a lamp, 19th/20th century. 5 pieces.

Pair of cizhou-type vases: one vase has several restored breaks from the mouth to the middle of the neck, a 1/4 in. chip below the shoulder and minor chips to foot. The other vase has a minor chip to the mouthrim. Both vases have scattered minor iron spots. Two white-glazed vases - the pear-shaped vase has scattered minor iron spots, small patches of stained crackle, and a small patch of kiln accretion to the foot. The other vase has a 7 3/4 in. crack running from the base with an associated 1 3/4 in. crack extending from the top and two restored triangular breaks approximately 3 by 3 in. to the foot. The celadon jar has a 1/8 in. iron spot. Otherwise, in overall good condition. All vases have been drilled through the base.
