Description

Decorated overall in tones of gold on a black ground, the later rectangular plain top with foliate spandrels and supported on a conforming pierced frame above a molded apron with a shaped pendant at the center and open scroll brackets above turned cabriole legs with claw-and-ball toes, all decorated with foliate scrolls and leaves.  Top associated.

Condition

Overall good condition; lacquer is stable mostly with cracquelure throughout and with some chips and lifting to lacquer of legs and at corners of frieze; some small areas of inpainting mainly to legs; the japanned top with wear and small chips to painting especially to the molded lip; please note that this lot comes with a fitted glass top.
