The rare complete album, comprising 16 lithographs printed in green, in-texte, and a lithographic cover, 1894, signed in green crayon by Yvette Guilbert on the justification page and numbered 11, from the edition of 100, on Arches laid paper, published by L'Estampe Originale, Paris, printed by Ancourt, contained in the original Japan-covered boards, in a leather and cloth-covered portfolio (16 prints)
Condition
The full sheets, in generally good condition overall. The cover has scattered foxing, surface soiling, and occasional handling creases throughout, with four small areas of damp stain and a few surface scuffs, the spine is splitting at the top and bottom and around the holes for the ribbon binding. The sheets show time stain at the edges, pages 2, 3, 12, 15 and 16 with foxing throughout, pages 5 and 12 darkened overall, additional minor creasing and imperfections. The portfolio cover separated from the spine, with occasional surface soiling, wear and attenuation.
