Description

  • Ansel Adams
  • 'WHITE BRANCHES, MONO LAKE, CALIFORNIA'
  • Gelatin silver print
plate 1 from Portfolio VII (New York, 1976), mounted, signed and with plate number and edition '85/115' in pencil on the mount, the portfolio stamp on the reverse, 1950, printed in 1976 (Portfolios, p. 111; 400 Photographs, p. 254)

Condition

This print is in generally excellent condition. Upon very close examination, to the left of the white branch, there is a tiny raised deposit of indeterminate nature. Light foxing is visible along the lower mount edge and on the reverse; this does not affect the print. The upper right mount corner is creased and lightly soiled.
