Condition

This print is in very good condition. With discoloured areas in the right portion of the print. One line of the abstract form in the centre of the image has beeen scratched into the surface. With one light handling mark in the centre of the print.

Catalogue Note

Théodore Brauner, né à Vienne en 1914 dans une famille d'origine roumaine, grandit à Bucarest où il entre dès 1929 en contact avec le groupe surréaliste Alge par le truchement de son frère, l'artiste surréaliste Victor Brauner. Il réalise ses premières photographies sans appareil en 1934 qu'il nomme « solarfixes » car elles sont créés à la lumière solaire. Ses solarfixes furent exposés en 1952 à la Maison des Artistes de Jérusalem.
