Daguerréotype quart-de-plaque. Montage ancien réutilisé. Avec signature et date 1848 incisées sur la plaque (partiellement visible) en bas à gauche. Annoté Hommage de l'artiste à son ami G. Oudin Lyon 29 gt 1848 J. Thierry sur une étiquette en papier fixée au verso, avec deux étiquettes imprimées de la 'Société d'Encouragement' dont une datée 1847.

Condition
The plate is in very good condition, some areas with light oxydation. The mount seems to be not the original mount, as the oval sight area does patially cover the artist's signature.
