rectangulaire à pans coupés, le couvercle orné de deux losanges gravés de Flore et Mercure sur un fond à striures, bordé de guirlandes émaillées de bleu clair et foncé, poinçons de prestige français dont la charge de Julien Alaterre, la décharge d'Eloi Brichard (bord gauche), standard 18, et poinçon de contrôle contemporain de Prague

rectangular with cut-corners, the lid with two lozenge-shaped panels engraved with Flora and Mercury on reeded grounds, further picked out in dark and light blue enamels within interlaced garland borders, French prestige marks including charge  of Julien Alaterre, the left rim with discharge mark of Eloi Brichard, further struck: 18, contemporary Prague control mark

Condition

some losses to enamel on sides, small dent in front panel at extreme left, hinge has been repaired.
