De Liefde Mackt het: Parent Soet", probablement rapportée, une anse formée d'une chaîne et d'un fermoir à vis, le dessous gravé en pointillé A. G. Krol et A. A. Hovinga
the pierced sides and hinged cover engraved with lovers, babies and flowers, the latter incorporating verse "als Trouheyt Liefde Blyke doet. De Liefde Mackt het: Parent Soet", possibly later chain handle and screw-in thumpiece, the underside stippled A. G. Krol and A. A. Hovinga, with later Dutch and French control marks
Condition
some solder repair to inside cover at junction with handle, some wear to engraving, split at rim below hinge, a few points of repair to pierced work and some overall wear.
