Condition

Canvas is possibly unlined or is very thinly glue relined. under a dirty and discolored old varnish. the paint surface has been generally well retained and coloration is strong. there are some areas of pronounced craquelure such as in the drapery of kneeling woman at far right. under ultraviolet: not much is visible. there are a few small dots of retouching in backgkround center left and a small repair in area between Noah's hands. In a carved and gilt wood frame with some nicks and losses to gilding.
