Condition

Old glue relining is firm and stable. painting is presentable and can be hung as is. the paint surface has been generally well retained and detail is very good throughout. there is some minor scuffing along right side from rubbing of the frame. under UV: an area of retouching can be seen in architecture at far center left (over a possible old repaired tear); other scattered small retouches here and there in architecture and foreground; a few on window at center and in both niches. figures have very little retouching, just some on hair of man at center and on hair of man seated with woman at left side. these have all been well applied and there is no need for further work. In an elaborately carved and gilt wood frame.
