Condition

The following condition report has been provided by Simon Parkes of Simon Parkes Art Conservation, Inc. 502 East 74th St. New York, NY 212-734-3920, simonparkes@msn.com, an independent restorer who is not an employee of Sotheby's. The reverse of this panel shows four reinforcements which have been applied to a crack in the center right side, which extends half way into the panel. Apart from this and a few restorations in the cows, there are very few, if any restorations. The crack in the panel should be adjusted slightly and the paint layer may be slightly dirty and will require some varnish. Overall the condition is very good and will improve with a little restoration.
