Provenance

Condition

The panel is in good condition and is cradled on the reverse. There is a thin, vertical crack running the length of the panel, left of center and further, much smaller crackes running from the upper and lower edges. Some evidence of retouching to these can be seen with the naked eye. The paint surface overall is in good condition, inspection under ultra violet light reveals minor, scattered retouching throughout the left side of the background, strengthening to the left side of the circle and between the foliage beside it. There are two small patches of overpaint, approximately 2 by 1 inches each on the upper edge, left of center and further scattered retouching to the sky within the circle. The painting is offered in a carved wood frame.
