Provenance

Reginald W. Wright, Chateau de Brindos, Biarritz;
His sale, Biarritz, 30 August 1952 (according to an old label on the reverse).

Condition

The support consists of three vertical panels supported on the reverse by two horizontal batons. The surface is stable if just a little uneven. Much of the gold leaf has abraded and the blue of the Leonard's mantle has degraded. There is some restoration work through the floor tiles and retouchings to each of the faces and scattered throughout the remainder of the panel.
