Condition

The support appears to consist of two horizontal panels bevelled to the reverse. The paint surface is secure and in good condition under a glossy, slightly yellowed, varnish. There are two old cracks in the panel, which would account for the bevelling, upper right along the top margin, approx. 10 cm and lower right running in form the right edge, approx. 8 cm. There is a restored surface scratch of approx. 5 cm lower left. Inspection under UV light is impeded by the aforementioned varnish but retouching work is evident along the length of the right margin and in the aforementioned crack lower right. Offered in a gilt wood and plaster frame in good condition.
