Condition
The painting is slightly warmer in tone than the catalogue illustration suggests. The canvas appears to have been recently relined, restored and cleaned. A horizontal seam runs along the lower half of the canvas. To the naked eye the painting appears to be in good condition, particularly for a painting of this size, with the paint surface still voluminous. Inspection under UV light confirms the good condition, with just some minor retouchings flourescing. Offered in a modern black wooden frame in good condition.
