Condition
The tone of the original is a touch more yellow than it appears on the catalogue illustration.
The canvas has been relined.
The paint surface is secure and generally in fair condition under a somewhat yellowed varnish.
Old retouching work is visible to the naked eye along the margins and this is confirmed under UV light which also reveals some minor retouchings scattered throughout.
