Condition

Glued at the top margin on the 19th century mount rather discoloured and with an attribution in pen and ink to: Van der Ulft. The paper is slightly buckled and the ink has sunk into the paper. Some glue from the verso to the mid of the left margin has prompted some ondulation in the paper. Some traces of foxing. Sold mounted and framed in a modern gilded wooden frame.

Another view by van der Ulft of the church of Santa Maria della Febbre was on the art market in 1992, but drawn with a much less dramatic use of brown wash.1
