Catalogue Note
The Windsor Castle was built in 1678 and wrecked in 1693. Michael Robinson noted six other drawings of the ship, two in the Boijmans van Beuningen Museum, Rotterdam1, one at the Victoria & Albert Museum, London2, and three in the National Maritime Museum, Greenwich3, all probably dating from 1678.
