Window mounted. Very lightly foxed throughout, but overall condition otherwise very good.

While Rochus van Veen's exceptionally fine natural history watercolours are very familiar, figure drawings by the artist, such as those on the verso of the present sheet, are more or less unknown; this drawing can therefore provide the basis for further attributions.
