Condition

Painting appears to be possibly unlined or is very thinly relined with an old glue relining. the painting is presentable and can be hung as is. the paint surface is beautifully preserved and there is lovely retention of the paint surface and coloration. ultraviolet light reveals only a couple of small retouches to tree trunk at center left; a small area at upper right corner and one or two tiny retouches lower left on her gown. In an elaborately carved and gilt wood frame with some minor nicks and losses to the gilding.
