2 volumes in one, 8vo (190 x 117mm.), half-titles, engraved frontispiece, 10 engraved plates, contemporary Parisian red morocco gilt by Dubuisson (without his ticket) with the arms of Jean-François Joly de Fleury [Olivier 1955 fer 1], flat spine gilt in compartments with fleurs-de-lys and a small portrait stamp in one compartment, citron morocco lettering-piece, gilt edges, in modern red morocco box by Riviere & Son, skilfully repaired at head and foot of spine, textblock starting to split at beginning
