Sold with the certificate of Peter Benedek, Munich, dated 11th October 1994, ascribing the viola to the Gagliano School, circa 1880, and an appraisal from Hieronymus Köstler, Stuttgart, dated 30th April 2007, describing the work as Neapolitan School from the 2nd half of the 19th century.
