to Madame de Saxe, about Wagner's Parsifal in which he describes the work as "sublime par excellence", as indeed she had maintained, and in which he renews their long-standing friendship, 1 page, 8vo, autograph envelope, Bayreuth, 29 July, 1882,
to an unidentified recipient, probably Jean Aristide Dumas, manufacturer of the "Lévigrave" practice-piano, thanking him for sending him his charming little "piano muet" ("...votre ingénieuse invention..."), praising its visual appeal and practicality for pianists, who will easily acquire the important and oft-lacking qualities of touch, ("...sécuritié, précision, souplesse, lesquelles--soit dit sans manquer à personne--manquent souvent..."), 2 pages, 8vo, Rome, 14 January 1867, trace of mount, small repair, and another by Liszt in printed facsimile
