"Little Celandine", the poem by Wordsworth ("Pansies, lilies, kingcups, daisies"),  notated in black ink for soprano, contralto and piano, on three five-stave systems per page, marked up by the editor in pencil,  4 pages, folio (c.35 x 27cms), including autograph title page, [1872]



"Sweet, baby, Sleep! (part-song)", laid out for four voices, notated on up to sixteen staves per page, the first page and ending only completed, 4 pages, folio (c.35 x 27cms), including autograph title page, [c.1875]

Catalogue Note

Gounod's "Little Celandine", was published by Goddard in London in 1873. "Sweet Baby, Sleep!", although unfinished here, was published by Novello in 1875.  Neither title appears in the 'Gounod' work-list in TNG.
