the poem by Théophile Gautier "Tandis qu'à leurs oeuvres perverses", notated for solo voice and piano, on four three-stave systems per page, with scratched deletions,  the repeated bars in the accompaniment indicated by numbers



5 pages, including autograph title, oblong 4to (17.5 x 27cms), cut from a larger sheet, sewn with blue silk, integral blank, [1850s], collector's pencil note of provenance on title,

Catalogue Note

Prod'homme dates the composition of "Primavera" to between 1852 and 1858, although it was not published by Choudens in Paris until 1867.
