Catalogue Note

Apparently unpublished: this air did not appear in the contemporary edition of this opera, which was originally composed for the Fontainebleau in 1786.  The edition relates to the revision for Paris Azémia ou les sauvages, produced at the Comédie-Italienne in 1787. Autograph music manuscripts by Dalayrac are of the greatest rarity at auction: we have no record of any appearing in recent decades.
