4to (325 x 245mm.), copy number 205 of 325 copies, one of 305 copies on vélin de Rives, colour frontispiece, 25 colour plates and woodcut vignettes after Edgar Degas, contemporary binding by G. Cretté, spine and half of each cover in crushed burgundy morocco, other half of each cover in vellum, with interlocking gilt fillets enclosing onlaid circles of contrasting morocco, flat spine lettered in gilt, in board slipcase, original wrappers bound in, top edge gilt, others uncut, spine faded, joints rubbed and starting to crack
