First edition of volumes II and III, with the second edition of volume I. The Brothers Grimm (Jacob and Wilhelm) published their first volume of fairy tales in 1812, followed by a second volume in 1814 (but with 1815 printed on the title-page). The third volume, containing a commentary (Anmerkungen) and details of sources, was published in 1822. The publisher, Georg Andreas Reimer (1776-1842), acquired the lease of the Realschulbuchhandlung in 1800, and took it over in 1823.
